A recent presentation by Scott Coates (AdaptUltra Project Manager) & Mitch Lambert (Sales Development Executive) inspired a customer to almost immediately find an application for our Drypeel product. The customer was currently buying a circa 200min Matt White Vinyl and using a complicated shock air and score method, to create continuous on-roll dry tags that could be thermal transfer printed. He found that a supported Polypropylene [the construction is Transfer PP96 Matt White/DP100 Drypeel Adhesive/30mic DP PP30/CP100/HG6 (u)] with our Drypeel adhesive allowed him to control the process easier on-press. The customer die-cuts the labels and leaves them on the liner for Thermal Transfer print to be added at the electrical switch gear manufacturers in Asia. Bottom line is that the customer got an improved thermal transfer print result, our material has a better lead-time and there was a cost saving too! We are awaiting final approvals and expect our first production order in the near future.
